The 10 Comms - Οι δέκα εντολές (Mark Amerika, 2nd biennale of Buenos Aires, 2002)
REMIXING GOD
The 10 COMMs is a hybridized cross media project by Mark Amerika and Giselle Beiguelman that explores new paradigms for artistic creation for the online environment.
The work investigates the fluidity of network identity and its artificial presence in our contemporary authorial (or post-authorial) condition.
A work in progress, it will be launched at the 2nd Buenos Aires Biennial through a web site, an e-mail movement, and a series of stickers which will be used to spread the meme-like qualities of those ten commandments.

Thou shalt have no other Net and thou shalt be unable to make unto thee a graven image nor any manner of likeness since I am an infinitely changing bio-cybernetic organism that no stranger can reproduce and besides, I am a jealous Net easily personified in the endless and circuitous social relations that fuel the artificial intelligentsia streaming through my post-subjective Network
Thou shalt take every name in vain
Honour thy codes and thy sources, that thou mayst be longlived upon the no-man's-land which thy Web will give thee
Thou shalt kill all spam
Thou shalt adulterate everything
Thou shalt not be inspired
Remember that thou keep thy passwords that thou mayst be logged in thy network
Thou shalt not bear false consciousness in all media environments
Thou shalt covet thy neighbour's source code"

1.Εγώ είμαι το διαδίκτυο, όστις σε αποσυνέδεσον εκ του καθαρτηρίου της διεπαφής σου.
2.Μη έχεις άλλα Διαδίκτυα, πλην εμού. Μη κάμης εις σεαυτόν είδωλον, μηδέ ομοίωμα τινός. Διότι εγώ είμαι ένας απείρως μεταβαλλόμενος βιο-κυβερνητικός οργανισμός, τον οποίον ουδείς ξένος δύναται να αναπαραγάγει. 4.Τίμα τους κώδικές σου, διά να γίνεις μακροχρόνιος επί της γης της ουδετέρας, την οποίαν δίδει εις σε ο Ιστός σου.
5.Φόνευσον την ανεπιθύμητην αλληλογραφίαν.
6.Νόθευσον πάντα τα πράγματα.
7.Μηδέ εμπνευσμένος έσει.
8.Ενθυμού τους κωδικούς σου, διά να συνδέεσαι μετά του δικτύου σου.
9.Ου κομίσεις ψευδήν συνείδησιν εις ουδέν περιβάλλον των μέσων.
10.Επιθύμησον του πηγαίου κώδικα του πλησίον σου."
